UPDATED HALL RENTAL AGREEMENT:The price of $75 will remain the same, however there will now be an addition $50 Security Deposit required in the form of a seperate check or cash, at the time of key pick up. The Security Deposit will be returned after the key has been returned and the Hall is returned to its previous, clean condition. Click for Hall Rental AgreementBUILDING PERMITS INFO:A building permit WILL BE required for building ANY & ALL homes, garages, accessory buildings, decks, patios, or additions to any of those. Applications and setback requirements are available at City Hall. Permits must be approved by Public Works and the City Council before any construction begins. Please be aware that if you tear down a nonconforming structure, the new structure must conforms to current setback regulations. Click for Accessory Building Permit.Burning Days:Leaf burning is permitted on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Yard waste, leaves, and branches (not entire trees) may be taken to the yard waste site across from the city pool on any day, at anytime. Please empty the bags and put the empty bags in the dumpster provided at the site. Illegal dumping at this facility may result in its closure. Burning trash is never allowed. Golf Carts:Golf carts can be driven ONLY by those having a valid driver’s license. They must be equipped with a “slow moving vehicle” sign and a bicycle safety flag and can operate on the street only from sunrise to sunset. They cannot be driven on Main Street or Highway 61, but, shall be allowed to cross those streets. They must be equipped with adequate brakes and shall meet any other safety measures required by the State of Iowa.City Holiday ScheduleCity Hall and City Shop will be CLOSED on July 4th for 4th of July.There will be no commercial trash collection on Wednesday, July 4th. Trash will be collected on Thursday, July 5th instead.
