City Clerk shall have the following power and duties:

  1. Meetings of Council; statement and record of council action.
  2. Publication of ordinances; amendments; authentication of measures.
  3. Notice publication of hearings, elections and other official actions.
  4. Certification of measures and plats.
  5. Chief accounting officer.
    1. Certification of tax levy.
    2. Monthly report on status of municipal accounts.
    3. Balance of funds.
    4. Annual public reports, preparation, publication and copies.
  6. Recordkeeping
  7. Furnishing copies of records, papers or public documents.
  8. Committee, board and commission meetings, attendance, records.
  9. Communications and petitions, filing, endorsement of city council auction.
  10. Licenses and permits, issuance and record.
  11. Announcement of appointment.
  12. Elections
  13. Warrants, drawing, contents.
  14. Collection of charges, rent or fees.
